Meet the Team

Carley Knobloch | Founder @digitwirl

Carley KnoblochAt the helm of Digitwirl is Carley Knobloch.  Digitwirl is the culmination of all of Carley’s expertise and enthusiasms, bringing together her love of all things tech, her passion for problem-solving, and her knack for curating the best resources for her audience. In fact, she can’t remember a time when she wasn’t obsessed with technology.  Carley and her husband made a lifetime (modem) connection writing love letters over AOL— back when you needed one of those CDs to log on.

It was after becoming a life coach and founding her company Mothercraft, that she began helping busy moms simplify their lives with simple tips. Her weekly newsletter, The Juicebox, had a loyal following, but the true "ah-ha" moment came when Carley started attaching videos clips to her tips and her subscriber base skyrocketed. And Bam!, the concept for Digitwirl was born.  Carley has held various creative positions in digital Hollywood, building some of the first-ever film and television websites for clients like Sony Pictures and Warner Bros. She is a regular contributor for Lifetime’s The Balancing Act and she’s offered her tech tips on ABC News and Fox News. When she’s not scouring the virtual globe for next revolutionary gadget or life-changing website or app, she can be found wailing on her RockBand drum kit.  Her husband and two children are often allowed to play too.

Betsy Cadel | Content Director @digitwirl

Betsy CadelA life-long early adopter (she owned the original 1984 Mac), Betsy has had a love affair with technology for decades. As a graduate from Boston University’s College of Communication she spent 15 years working as an Art Director-turned-Copywriter at some of the biggest ad agencies in the world. She started Gray Matter Matters in 2006 when people were still asking “what’s a blog?,” and has been a contributing writer on some of the most popular mom-centric sites around. After having her son in 2000 she then gave birth to two editions of KidSavvy Westchester: A parents’ guide of information & inspiration. While some grateful parents have called it their “Bible,” she’s never seen it in any motel room. She lives in Westchester, NY with her husband Andy, son Simon, and their pet eel, Jawz.

Jillian Chamberlain | Manager, Community & Syndication @digitwirl

Jillian was a natural to become the Digitwirl Community and Syndication Manager, with her Virgo-like tendencies towards communication and organization. She’s a Demon-Tweeter, a Facebook Ninja and she 's no slouch with a spreadsheet. This smartypants has a BS from Northeastern University’s College of Communications and is currently pursuing a Masters in Project Management. Since relocating from Boston to sunny California she does not miss shoveling snow one bit. And, be warned, if you want to take away her DVR you’d have to pry it from her cold, dead hand.
