No matter how organized you may be, everyone's had that "Whoops! I forgot to get my (fill-in-the-blank) a gift!" Whether it's the holidays, someone's birthday or a baby shower, no one likes being empty handed and under the gun.
Which is why we suggest Giftzip.com--a site that features hundreds of e-gift cards from Amazon to Zappos. Select the card and then Giftzip zips you right to the gift card section of that merchant's website where you choose the amount and delivery method.
And speaking of cards, it doesn't get easier than the RedStamp app. Free customized e-cards for every occasion that you can send straight from your iPhone, iTouch or iPad via email, text, or even high-quality postcards.
Check out this Twirl to see how quick and easy sending last-minute gifts can be.

Great tips! Does GiftZip.com have an app? I didn't see one for my iphone but think that would be handy. Do you know?
CKnobloch says:
Heather— I don't think so, but I believe that SWAGG (which is an app) also lets you purchase gift cards (as well as organize the ones that you have).

Hi Carley, I noticed that you recommend Pingg, Paperlesspost and Cocodot. Question: Do you know if any of these sites allow you to send a 'card' in the body of the email? I have noticed that when it is a link, you lose people and many don't take the time to click on the link-- Thanks!
CKnobloch says:
Jill— I KNOW that RedStamp does that... the card shows up like an image in the body of the email. I'm pretty sure the other services give you a preview image and limited information, but you do have to click on the link to see the full card. A great question— thanks!

I LOVE this and, well, ummm... I'm sad I wasn't organized enough to have seen it in my email LAST week! Oh well - next year, I'm ON it!!
Thanks so much Carley and crew for keeping me green & organized (okay at least giving me the tools too...lol!).
Happy Holidays.

Barbi— It's not too late (well, maybe it is...). There's always next year!

Is there an app for redstamp for those of us without Apple products, ( Droids)? thanks Carley, love your site!
CKnobloch says:
Cathy— Not yet, but we recommend other gorgeous sites like pingg.com, cocodot.com and paperlesspost.com... all offer e-card and printable options. We've looked at e-card apps specifically for Android, but... blech— can't recommend the design quality of any of the cards.
